Manashakti's career-guidance program for students & parents
Which career to choose after 10th & 12th? - Numerous students and their parents are confronted today by this crucial question. At the same time, in the current era of globalization, innumerable new fields have been and continue to be developed. Yet, students and their parents are in the dark about these. Hence with a view to co-relate these two aspects, Manashakti - this year too - had organized the program “After 10th & 12th, what?... Various Branches of Education.”
The program took place on 7th June 09 at Nigdi (Pune). Nearly 105 students and parents availed themselves of this program. Mr. Phapale Sir (senior life-devotee, Manashakti) provided guidance to the students on the topic of decision-making, while Mrs. Nimbalkar and Mrs. Shinde (vocation-guidance experts) elaborated on the opportunities in the various existing and emerging branches in the education field.

This is a school that imparts Sanskars (good values) and education to the little children, merrily, in view of their age prone to imitation and indirect learning besides the developmental stage of their brains. This ‘mini Sanskar Park’ has been commenced by Manashakti’s local Dombivali Centre, recently. Therein children between the 2.5 and 3.5 years will be liable for admission. (Limited seats.)

Manashakti presents research in the International Conference on “Prenatal Education”
Between 24th to 27th April 2009, International conference, organized by APPPAH (Association for Pre & Perinatal Psychology & Health) took place in LA, USA. Over 250 participants from 17 countries participated. Participants included doctors, scientists, psychologists, gynecologists and other experts from various branches of sciences.
Mr. Gajanan Kelkar, Executive Trustee and Research Director of Manashakti, participated in the aforementioned conference. On 26th April, Mr. Kelkar spoke on the “Manashakti’s Prenatal Kit and Ancient Indian Wisdom”. This lecture was attended by Dr. Chamberlain, Director APPPAH, and experts from other fields. The lecture was well-received by the audience. In addition, Manashakti also presented the recently published book “The Emotional World of the Fetus”. All this, will help extensively spread Manashakti’s “Prenatal Education Research” worldwide.
Additionally, Mr. Kelkar met neuroscientist Dr. Leigh and debriefed him about Manashakti’s experiments and research related to the brain. This discussion helped understand the point of view of scientists regarding the specific nature of Manashakti Center’s research.
Seekers (sadhak) of Manashakti residing in USA had organized some local seminars as well. These were well attended. In these events, information on latest research and recent literature by Manashakti was presented to the first time attendees.
In the tail end of the tour, Mr. Kelkar attended the seminar on Biofeedback therapy and learnt about the latest developments in the field. This newly acquired knowledge will be used in the ‘Psychofeedback therapy’ treatment that is being conducted at Manashakti. Mr. Kelkar returned to the ashram after completing the tour successfully on 16th May 2009.

Manashakti conducts ’Free-of-cost Rural Education Camp’
For poor, needy & Adivasi children
240 children participate!
Between 17 April and 2 May 2009, Manashakti conducted four free-of-cost ’Rural Education Camps’, in and around the rural regions of Lonavla. Nearly 240 children took the benefit of it. These camps were conducted in the areas of Lonavla, Khandala, Tungarli & Bhushi. All the camps were successfully conducted with the kind co-operation of Manashakti’s senior seekers & youth seekers. This is the 6th consecutive year of this Camp.
Inspired by Revered Swami Vijnananand, the main objective of this free-of-cost camp is ’Rural students should not be kept aside from knowledge due to financial difficulties.’
In this camp along with simple study techniques, children are taught several interesting topics like games, songs, stories, craft, trekking, rappling, cultural programs etc. to boost the qualities of courage, confidence, creativity, gratitude, love of Nation and Nature. Briefly, these children are cultured through entertaining extra-curricular activities. At the end of camp, children too determine to do good things in their life.
On 1st May 09, one camp was concluded at Sai Temple in Bhushi village. On this occasion, several honourable members of Lonavla Municipal Council’s Education Branch had come to appreciate the students! While on 2nd May 09, the remaining three camps were collectively concluded at Manashanti Ashram. Mr. Palekar (Industrialist & Councillor, Lonavla), Mr. Sathe (Councillor, Khandala) attended the program. Mr. Pramod Shinde (Trustee, Manashakti), Mr. & Mrs. Veswikar, Mr. & Mrs. Bapardekar, Mr. Phapale (all senior life-devotees) were also present on this occasion. The parents of the childen also told that they are observing improvement in their children!

Manashakti to present in ‘International Conference’
Mr. Gajanan S. Kelkar (Executive Trustee & Research Director of Manashakti) will be visiting America to present Manashakti’s research in International Conference. Mr. Kelkar will be in America between 11 April and 14 May 2009.
The main object of this visit is to participate in the 14th International Conference held by APPPAH on ‘Prenatal Education’ at Asilomar (California). APPPAH (Association for Pre & Perinatal Psychology & Health) organizes a conference after every two years, at various cities in America. Scientists, doctors, psychiatrists, social workers etc. from world-over come together and present their latest research on ‘prenatal education’, in it. From 1999 onwards, Manashakti Research Center has been participating in this conference. In fact, Manashakti has also presented research in the conference. This year, Manashakti has been invited to present on the following topic - “Manashakti’s ‘Prenatal Education Kit’ with Ancient Indian Wisdom”.
