Gathering of the Manashakti's Sadhakas
"If you want to be happy in life, work one-hour-a-day for society." Thousands of Manashakti sadhakas have been working as per the above quote of Revered Swami Vijnananand. Between 20 and 22 August 2010, a special gathering of the sadhakas was organized, in which schedule of activities for the next year was planned. About 150 sadhakas participated in the gathering.
"We can change our today as well as tomorrow by efforts!" - taking inspiration from this thought, sadhakas work for the progress of the different sectors of the society. While working for the society, their own life becomes happy, is the common experience of the sadhakas.
The Manashakti monthly magazine, which has seen light of its silver jubilee year, has been serving the society in the form of diffusing knowledge of the laws of Nature. In the silver jubilee year of the magazine special programs have been planned at Thane, Ratnagiri, Kolhapur, Jalgaon and Pune. On the occasion of the Grateful Remembrance Day of Revered Swami Vijnananand, Jnanaprakash Yatra has also been planned in these cities.
"When you tell people about knowledge, don't worry whether they would listen to it or not. As we tell people also for our own well-being, don't get downhearted." Understanding this message of Swamiji, sadhakas pledged to do stupendous work for the society throughout the year.
Meditation is always useful for self-progress. Sadhakas took experience of 2 group meditations - "Dialogue with the Body" and "Concentration on Respiration" - during the gathering. The importance of the unperturbed peace was described in the concluding session, which escalated everyone to a new level of thoughts. One should also pursue spiritual peace, while making material progress in life. Supplement of Knowledge, meditation and selfless work help eschew the mal-effects of mobile life.
The gathering was concluded on the day of Quarterly Meet. About 1000 sadhakas as well as newcomers attended the Meet.
There are many programs for the sadhakas of Manashakti throughout the year. Between 1 and 2 September, 2010, a Meditation course will be conducted for the sadhakas.
