60 farmers participate in novel KRISHI YAJNA!
Manashakti organized and successfully conducted Krishi (Agricultural) Yajna at Chakan on 14th January, 2012. In this Yajna, in which 60 farmers participated, information about Prayer Experiment for higher and quality yield was given to all. Everyone also had the opportunity to do Havan (offerings). Farmers having participated in the Manashakti Agriculture Experiment narrated their experiences. A documentary film depicting this experiment was screened. Farmers were appealed to stay on the farming in view of importance of production of food grains.
The objectives of the Krishi (Agricultural) Yajna are coming together of all farmers for the prosperity of farming and yield, to share the information of farming with each other, to attract the young generation towards farming, and farmers should prosper financially.
The concept of Yajna in modern and scientific terms to unlock the secrets of success in life, was taught to the society by Swami Vijnananand. Yajna is a process to explain the Laws of Nature. Yajna means the knowledge of creation. How does creation take place in Nature? No matter or energy is actually created or annihilated in nature, but only its transformation takes place. This means that when something is created something is destroyed. In concurrence with this principle, in order to get pleasure and success, one must sacrifice a part of his possessions. Your request to the Yajna for gratifying your wish must accompany your resolution to utilize your time and wealth for the betterment of others. Yajna is a pretext for all to come together and think and act for the progress of the society. People should understand the mutual needs and strive collectively to meet them .The cardinal objective of the Yajna is to abolish the disparity and establish equality in the society. Equality is the law of Nature. Equality also implies the up-liftment of the downtrodden factions of the society.
The Krishi Yajna will be organized on every first Thursday between 3 to 5 pm at Chakan. Enrolment is free and any farmer or those interested can participate.
